     If there were a soul mate for business  "Design" would be mine. I love all types of design. Event design, weddings,parties,intimate gatherings , garden weddings. ... When I try to explain my role sometimes I explain it as an interior designer for events. Both worlds are the same to me as they both follow the same design principles.

     I got started seriously in 2005 and prior to that I had owned a retail business ans visual merchandising has always been easy for me. Now you must know, I love what I do. I am extremely competitive and creativity is one of my best assets. I have won design competitions and have built a resume I am proud of that is in my press section. I am a hands on designer and that means that I do what everyone does. Event design is far from glamorous.. many hours, fast paced and time line driven but the end result is what every event is about.

     I love to work... and getting dirty is just part of the process. I do have a philosophy about my work. It does not matter how impressive your resume is you are only as good as your last job because that is the last event people remember. I live by that philosophy and I am quite humbled by all the doors that have opened for me.

I am a hands on designer.. I design all of my own floral designs for weddings and events. Growing up I had an extensive craft background and now later in life that was a very good thing. You will find a little bit of everything in the studio. A craft area with glue, glitter, paint brush, paint .. many color tools. The selection of paint is vast..

I always say you can change the look of anything. There is a sewing machine, work tools for wood work, ribbons (lol I love ribbon, balloons even a helium tank.. I call those all design tools because design is not always about flowers. Everyday is a new experience for events. On any given day I may be talking about a traditional wedding and then turn my thoughts to something artsy or whimsical for an event. Not many people are able to love what they do and do what they love.. I am a fortunate one!
